Airport Transfers in Liverpool

Liverpool is a city of very distinct districts, and where you live changes the airport run more than the mileage suggests. We cover all of it: the city centre and waterfront, Aigburth, Allerton, Woolton, Childwall, Wavertree and Garston in the south, West Derby, Old Swan, Tuebrook and Norris Green in the east, and Anfield, Walton, Everton and Kirkdale in the north.

For Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the south Liverpool districts have the shortest run of anyone in the city. From Allerton, Aigburth, Woolton, Garston or Speke it is a matter of minutes down Speke Boulevard or the A561, so the pickup time is driven far more by check-in than by traffic. From the north end — Anfield, Walton, Kirkdale — the same airport means crossing the city, which is a genuinely different journey at 7am than it is at 7pm.

For Manchester Airport the pattern reverses. The eastern and southern districts reach the M62 quickly at Queens Drive or the Rocket, while the north of the city runs out via the M57. It is roughly 35 miles either way, normally 45 to 60 minutes, with the M60 approach the section most likely to add time in the morning peak. Match days at Anfield and Goodison, and events at the M&S Bank Arena, are the local factors we plan around when setting your pickup.
